Analysing CD covers

This is a cover for Taylor Swifts single 'White Horse'. The CD cover has a white background because the song is called white horse. The name Taylor Swift is at the top of the cover in brown on a white background making the name stick out. The name of the single 'white horse' is at the bottom of the page with the two starting letters in different fonts compared to the other letters. The picture is a mid shot close up of Taylor Swift laying down on a bed looking directly at the camera. The more I analyse these CD cover, the more knowledge I get about them and I also gain ideas for my CD cover.

Above is the album cover for Taylor Swifts Fearless album. The album was multi platinum album and received an Oscar award for the best album of the year 2009. The CD cover is simple, the background is dark brown, black and a dark white color on top. The writing is in white contrasting with background. The name Taylor Swift is in italics in a big font and bold. The album name fearless is in capital and a normal font was used. This is normal done to make the album name more stand out from the rest. in between the text and the background there is a picture of Taylor Swift. Her hair is curled up. She does not have a lot of make up apart from the eyes. The eye shadow is put on her eyes to make them the eyes stand out.
The Album cover is simple and well laid out.

This is another cover for her single 'Love story' the cover is laid out with two sides. One side with the picture of Taylor swift and the other with the name of the single and the name of the singer. Shes dressed in an Elizabethan dress, this is because of the theme of the song 'love story'. Again the fore ground text and picture do not interrupt in colors. Everything is easily seen. There are no special effects included in the album cover, everything is laid out in a simple format.
