The video is narrative based. The Video starts with the logo of Taylor Swifts Recording company. There is then a close up of a window and its raining outside. there are then close ups of Taylor Swift's mouth and the guy who is talking on he phone to. They have a dialogue. This then fades to Taylor Swift sitting down on the floor sad. There is then a close up shot of her face to show that she is crying. Straight away there is a wide shot to show the size of the room and her in a corner to show that she is lonely and helpless. There are then close ups and mid shots to show her feelings as she sings.
When she starts singing that she should have known and she is not a princess, there are flashback shots showing her with a guy supposedly her boyfriend having fun. The shots switch from flashbacks to her crying while remembering the flashbacks.
In the middle of the video we see Taylor Swift and her friend having a dialogue in a cafe. The song does not only consists of music but it also consists of dialogues at the beginning and the middle.
The video carries on with close ups and shots f her and a friend having a conversation but with music over it. When she sings the chorus the shots switch to her flashbacks again.
The camera shot change to another scene at night were Taylor Swift is walking by her Ex's house and then she sees him. As they look at each other her ex's new girlfriend comes out. We then see close up of her in the room she was in from the beginning crying, she then starts to walk away. As the music builds up mid shots show Taylor Swift crying loud and hitting things near her to show anger. As she walks away in the night scene she fades away in the dark being ironic.
The video ends with many shots from the video and then we see Taylor Swift again in a wide shot in the same room lonely.
